Let's talk about Tilt Scooters latest deck release! A revamp version of the Theory deck that will bring Tilt's deck close to perfection.
What's new
Extrusion
New deck, new extrusion! That new extrusion is made to keep strength while lowering the weight by using fluted inner walls.
Bottom Cutout
Tilt wanted to maximize the weight saving on their new deck, and to do that they did a bottom cutout like they did on the biggest versions of the Theory3 and the Ten Year edition deck. But this time, you get a bigger one and on all the sizes. This will not only save weight but provide a better weight distribution.
Neck
To the naked eye, the downtube might look the same, but they re-worked the internal structure to get a better strength then the previous version. Even if it's putting a bit more weight in the front then before, when you mis that with the savings of the bottom cutout, you get a better feeling / weight / strength ration then before.
Dropouts
The upgraded version of the welded dropouts are made to have a even better control over your grinds while maintaining the weight down.
Fender
That now classic Tilt welded fender is now lower. For the new Formula deck, they chose to go with a minimalist fender that will still protect the back wheel without covering to much of it.
Sizes That Make Sense
Nowadays, the deck sizes are multiplying at an impressive rate with the addition of larger widths and the need of the riders that are getting pickier for the length. Tilt decided to make the choice for you regarding the length a deck should have regarding of its width. They went with 5 different width that all have their own length to keep the best feeling of every sizes.

Color
For now, the new Formula deck only comes in red as part of Tilt's SELECTS collections. We might see other colors popping out later on, but nothing confirmed.
Conclusion
You're in the market for an high end, top of the line hybrid or street deck, you should seriously consider the new Tilt Formula as it is, as of right now, one of the most advance deck you can get!
